ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

The Parcells instrumental music program is dedicated to providing students with the finest musical education possible. We believe that participation in music provides students with valuable lifelong skills. Studies show that these skills help improve students' achievement in other subjects as well.

Over 250 students currently participate in the instrumental music program at Parcells, representing over 35% of our entire student body. We have three bands and two string ensembles which meet during the school day as well as several extra-curricular activities which meet before or after the regular school day. We perform several concerts each year and have participated in the MSBOA Band and Orchestra Festival and the National Music-in-the-Parks Festival, earning ratings of superior and excellent consistently for over twenty consecutive years!
